Portokali

Bianco IGP Puglia

Portokali is an orange wine with a unique intensity and personality. It was born from the desire to create a new interpretation of the Minutolo grape, exploring still uncharted territory. The initial idea was to start from the extraordinary quality of the grapes and intervene as little as possible. Few production steps are carried out to bring the raw soul of the Minutolo grape into the bottle. Aromas, acidity, and tannins come together in an incredible range of sensations that may seem surprising at first taste, but become captivating sip after sip.

The boldest side of Minutolo
Its soft orange color with golden reflections anticipates an unconventional sip: on the nose, citrusy notes of grapefruit and citron emerge, along with herbaceous hints and deeper sensations linked to maceration; on the palate it is fresh, sharp, tannic, and bold. Its soft orange color with golden reflections anticipates an unconventional sip: on the nose, citrusy notes of grapefruit and citron emerge, along with herbaceous hints and deeper sensations linked to maceration; on the palate it is fresh, sharp, tannic, and bold.
Portokali, the charm of the unexpected
A White wine born from the desire to experiment and take Minutolo in a less predictable direction. The grapes are processed with minimal intervention and left in extended contact with their skins, bringing out in the glass the most authentic, textural, and free side of the grape variety. Portokali doesn’t seek the easy path: it surprises, unsettles, and then slowly wins you over, sip after sip, like a journey to an unknown land you wouldn’t want to leave.
Full straw yellow color; after the first 2 or 3 years in the bottle, light golden hues become visible.

Intense nose, wide bouquet, opening with an array of aromatic herbs, sage and rosemary above all, followed by hints of citrus and touches of white-fleshed fruit.
Medium-bodied on the palate, an added value in terms of drinkability, excellent persistence and remarkable coherence with the nose.
The finish is elegant, supported by good acidity.
